The laser spectroscopy research group

The laser spectroscopy research group is active in four different research areas, all involving the use of lasers. Members of the group operate both the laser laboratory GPF, (Gothenburg Photon Factory) and the ion beam facility GUNILLA (Gothenburg University Negative Ion Laser Laboratory).

The present group, whose operating language is English, consist of a mixture of both Swedish and international students and researchers. In addition to the in-house research activities, we participate in experiments at national and international research facilities. For example, we have active collaborations at DESIREE at Stockholm University and at CERN in Switzerland. Studies in the field of laser spectroscopy provides an opportunity to train students for careers in both academia and industry. The breadth of possibilities can be seen in the attached list of previous Ph.D students from this research group. The list provides short descriptions of the current professional activities of these former students
